Jennifer Azevedo has always done work that is in the public interest. Previous to joining DeLuca & Weizenbaum in 2007, Jennifer represented labor unions, injured workers, and employees who have suffered discrimination in the workplace, as well as representing other individuals in various civil rights actions involving political discrimination and free speech violations. She was also very active in land-use and environmental issues, helping non-profit groups and others in preserving and protecting open space, communities and neighborhoods from being swallowed by un-checked development.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College and her Juris Doctorate at the University of Connecticut School of Law. While completing her degrees, she also studied abroad at Oxford University and the University of London.

Her professional memberships include the American Civil Liberties Union, Rhode Island Affiliate, Vice-Chair, Board of Directors & Volunteer Attorney; Rhode Island Bar Association, Labor Law Committee; Massachusetts Bar Association, Labor & Employment Law Section; American Bar Association, Labor & Employment Law Section.
